A hook is a tool used to keep something hanging in one place. As such, hooks represent anything inside your consciousness that an outside idea can be hung on. In order for you to accept something that someone else presents to you, it must first have a hook on which it can be hung. This is true whether that idea is positive or negative, helpful or destructive. Anything that is hung on a hook, or the presence of hooks in a dream, indicates a readiness for something to be hung there.
